clubs

At TORCHSA, our clubs are designed to build vibrant, faith-filled community while enriching the hearts and minds of every family member. This year, we’re excited to continue offering our Book Clubs for Girls and Boys, Virtue Clubs that form character through faith, the Geo-Culture Club to explore the world through a Catholic lens, and our Sports Virtue Club to foster teamwork and discipline. We’ll also keep publishing The TORCH Times—our student-led newsletter—and nurturing parent fellowship through Well-Read Mom, Mom’s Night Out, and Dad’s Night Out. These clubs help us grow closer to one another, deepen our values, and live joyfully as a Catholic homeschooling family.

  • Calling all moms (nursing babies welcome) for an evening of prayer and friendship. Each month, we will meet to pray the Rosary and then head to a nearby restaurant for dinner.

  • Take a break and join us for a memorable TORCH Dad's Night Out! This evening is specially designed for fathers to unwind, bond, and share experiences within a supportive faith community.

  • The Girls' and Boys' Book Clubs are a wonderful space for young hearts and minds to grow in holiness and virtue through inspiring stories. Together, they read and discuss books that reflect Catholic values, highlight virtuous characters, and spark meaningful conversations. These gatherings not only encourage a love for reading but also help the children deepen their understanding of faith and friendship in a fun and thoughtful way.

  • Our Girls' and Boys' Virtue Clubs are a joyful way for children to grow in faith and friendship. Each gathering focuses on a saint and a specific virtue, helping the children learn how to live out holiness in everyday life. The girls enjoy a themed craft, while the boys take part in a hands-on activity. Afterwards, everyone shares in fellowship, building strong bonds and encouraging one another to walk the path of virtue with joy and purpose.

  • Our club educates children about the world's geography while integrating Catholic values and teachings. We aim to spark curiosity about different cultures and countries, emphasizing the appreciation for God's creations and the Catholic Church's global presence.

  • The Sports and Saints Club is open to all and offers a unique way to blend faith and fun! Each gathering begins with a short reflection on a particular saint and the virtue they lived out, followed by time to play a sport of the children’s choice. This club encourages strong friendships, teamwork, and joyful movement, all while inspiring a virtuous life through the example of the saints. It's a beautiful way to grow both spiritually and physically in community.

  • Discover the Hands-On Journalism Club for High School Students!

Are you ready to dive into the world of journalism and media? Our Hands-On Journalism Club offers high school students an exciting opportunity to engage in professional projects and develop essential teamwork skills!

In this club, students will have the chance to work on real journalism projects, from reporting and writing to editing and publishing. It’s not just about learning the theory—it's about rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in the hands-on aspects of the profession. Students will collaborate on creating newsletters, articles, interviews, and multimedia content, gaining practical experience in every step of the process.

This project is designed to mimic real-world journalism scenarios, allowing students to practice team participation, develop their communication skills, and explore their creative potential. This is a unique opportunity for students to work together on exciting and meaningful projects, while also building a portfolio of their work.
